We are excited to welcome our new chef Jamie Craig to the team.
Originally from Meaford Ontario, Executive chef Jamie Craig was drawn into the culinary world early,
when at 12 he started his first job working at his Aunt and Uncle’s family run pizzaria. His passion for all things culinary was further ignited when he began working at Thornbury’s Mill Café, and subsequently went on to study at the prestigious Stratford Chef’s School, where he learned to hone his skills and unique foodstyle.
Leading up to attaining his Red Seal certification, he was very fortunate to have apprenticed under
skilled chefs at some of the areas best food destinations, before returning to the Mill Café as head chef in 2003. Over the years, he also held head chef positions at Grand Bend’s Lakeview Café, St. Mary’s
Stone Willow Inn, and London’s North Moore Catering and River Room private dining. He is thrilled to join BluDuby as head chef and looks forward to exciting experiences with his new crew and customers.
Jamie’s culinary philosophy reflects his appreciation for fresh quality commodities and consistent proper preparation. He is deeply committed to delivering a memorable experience to all diners, every time.
In addition to his passion for cooking, Jamie finds great satisfaction in helping to discover and develop the talents of his younger chef apprentices. He keeps his own skills current and sharp by participating in culinary festivals like Savour Stratford, and Canada’s Gold Medal Plate event.
When not in the kitchen, Jamie enjoys gardening as a hobby and family time with his wife Kate (also a trained chef) and their two children, Julia and Sam.
Welcome Jamie, we look forward to many years of successful partnership!Joe and Cheryl
